Proactive Alerting and Automated Workflow Guide

SitePro Configuration Audit

Overview

The SitePro API enables developers to monitor site conditions in near real time and trigger automated workflows when defined thresholds or events occur. By combining live data access with external integrations, teams can move from reactive monitoring to proactive operations.

This guide outlines how to detect conditions using SitePro data and automatically trigger alerts, notifications, or downstream system actions.

Request Sensor Live Data

GET https://platform.sitepro.com/v1/edge/live/site/sensors/{siteId}

curl -X GET
  -H "Authorization: Bearer <JWT_token>"

Path parameter

ParameterRequired
DescriptionsiteId
YesThe ID of the site you want live sensor readings for. Obtained from GET /v1/sites.

Note: No request body is needed. Pass only the siteId in the URL path and your Bearer token in the Authorization header.

Response

Returns an array of objects - one per sensor at the site. Sensors are included regardless of whether they have a recent reading; check lastUpdatedStats to determine data freshness.

longitudeGPS longitude of the sensor, if configured

How It Works

  1. Retrieve Live Data
Use SitePro APIs to pull current sensor readings, site status, or activity
  2. Define Rules or Thresholds
Establish conditions (e.g., pressure limits, inactivity windows)
  3. Evaluate Conditions
Continuously check incoming data against your rules
  4. Trigger Actions
When conditions are met, initiate workflows in external systems
  5. Log and Monitor
Track triggered events for visibility and auditing

What to Monitor

Sensor Data

  • Pressure, flow rate, level, temperature
  • Threshold breaches or abnormal values

Site Activity

  • Equipment activity frequency or gaps
  • Unexpected inactivity or delays

System Health

  • Missing or stale data
  • Device or edge connectivity issues

How Integrators Use This

Automated Alerts

  • Send notifications via email, SMS, or messaging platforms (e.g., Slack)
  • Escalate issues based on severity or duration

CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) & Work Order Integration

  • Automatically create maintenance tickets when thresholds are exceeded
  • Assign work orders based on site, asset, or issue type

Operational Monitoring Dashboards

  • Highlight active issues in real time
  • Track triggered alerts and resolution status

Exception Management

  • Detect and flag anomalies or unexpected behavior
  • Route issues to the appropriate teams or systems
